Michigan Team Analysis

Tourney History: Michigan is among the tourney’s top performing teams, winning the 1989 championship and ranking 12th in PASE among the 99 schools with at least six tourney appearances. Their performance, however, is tainted by the Fab Five era, which accounted for two big overachieving runs in 1992 and 1993. Beyond that, the school had missed ten straight dances before John Beilein led them back to the tourney last year—and into the second round as ...

Unfortunately, due to the fact that Zelda was released before the tourney expanded to the field of 64 teams, the statistical results that it does imply, are irrelevant.

Always nice to see that you're drawing on the lessons you learned from Warcraft 2. Everyone knows that the best brackets are built by referencing video games. What does Zelda have to tell us about the Arizona/Cleveland State match- up?

Watch out Griffins! The wolverines have a slew of sharpshooters. And anyone who played warcraft 2 knows that the sharpshooting archers always took down the big birds with little problem. That Pain you felt in the first round from the power bomb isn't anything to the pain that is soon to be brought.

Pete- That's a great storyline; excellent. Hope the radio/TV gigs are going well. Where did you tell me they can't get enough of you...in Utah and in Kentucky?

I just love your icon. Makes me happy. Come on, Jeff! Use your Bracketmaster. Last time Michigan danced was 1998...the Ellerbe years. Ah, how fondly I remember them!

Instant reaction from Michigan fan. Yes, we're kind of just happy to be here. Lose to Clemson and it's no big deal, the milestone has been met and onto to next year. But...given Beilein's magic in the tourney I'm ... more »
