MSU needed another shooter all season long, and more so last night. Our Bigs never showed up, should have gone to the rim all night. Dre,Dre rushed his shots and Louisville shot 3's like Wisconsin.
Unhappy to lose but Pitino out Izzoed, Izzo. Unranked to round of 16, beat Wisconsin 3 times, OSU twice, on both of their home courts. Holding my Spartan head high.

I'm torn between seeing my stats models do well...and seeing the Madometer go bonkers. I do like them upsets. Every single pundit tonight has gone MSU, SYR, OSU and MQ. Even if these teams were 80% locks to win their games, there would just be a 40% chance all all teams winning.

So who's going to get upset? Frankly, the favorites are ... more »

@ryan - I went back to my ESPN tourney challenge picks and discovered that I accidentally put Marquette to beat Missouri. My misfortune...but it made the bracket percentile better. For the record, Haith is a +.176 PASE overachiever and Williams is +.031. Of course, Haith's PASE is built on one year. Williams' is built on three tourneys.

It looks like the Pythag and Coaching Pase model has Missouri in the elite 8. So, only one bracket model would have retained all elite 8 picks.

Interesting post, Pete. While I'd love my Hoosiers to win, I don't expect it. Ever since some of your models predicted a Baylor UK matchup (I have it in my bracket, also), I've been really intrigued and I would love to see that game.

The Florida Marquette will definitely be the most interesting S16 matchup (followed ... more »
