Unhappy to lose but Pitino out Izzoed, Izzo. Unranked to round of 16, beat Wisconsin 3 times, OSU twice, on both of their home courts. Holding my Spartan head high.

I'm torn between seeing my stats models do well...and seeing the Madometer go bonkers. I do like them upsets. Every single pundit tonight has gone MSU, SYR, OSU and MQ. Even if these teams were 80% locks to win their games, there would just be a 40% chance all all teams winning.

So who's going to get upset? Frankly, the favorites are all vulnerable. Many of the stats models liked Wisconsin. I can see MSU struggling with Louisville and Florida/ Marquette will be a battle. I don't see Cinci getting by OSU.

@ryan - I went back to my ESPN tourney challenge picks and discovered that I accidentally put Marquette to beat Missouri. My misfortune...but it made the bracket percentile better. For the record, Haith is a +.176 PASE overachiever and Williams is +.031. Of course, Haith's PASE is built on one year. Williams' is built on three tourneys.

Interesting post, Pete. While I'd love my Hoosiers to win, I don't expect it. Ever since some of your models predicted a Baylor UK matchup (I have it in my bracket, also), I've been really intrigued and I would love to see that game.

The Florida Marquette will definitely be the most interesting S16 matchup (followed by Wissy Cuse).
