In my home game, just 20 for me- - and losing Mizzou. I had some extra brackets to play on ESPN, and I did a "whatiwant" set of picks. It's in the 100 percentile- - 23 right. Of course, that one have Michigan going all the way. So...my triumph is brief.

on ESPN I did my official bracket, my gut bracket, and 8 of your models just to see how they stack up.

Pythag+Coaching and Final Four model both 21 right now. Seed coming in at 20.

Honestly I'm starting to think Lehigh over Duke might be a top 3 upset ever. Sure, Duke didn't have Kelly (he maybe had three good games this year anyways), but it was essentially a home game for the Blue Devils.

Thanks a good point . . . I don't which way to go on that, I mean, Lehigh is a MUCH better team than Norfolk State and I would argue Missouri is better than Duke . . . playing pretty much in Duke's back yard is definitely worth considering though, as the crowd never really seemed to turn too much on Duke throughout.

Personally, I thought ... more »

I updated my greatest upsets article and put them tied for third. I gotta think more about it. It would be interesting to look at the Pythag disparity. One thing I was talking about leading up to the dance was the unsual Pythag curve of the top teams- - how the top seeds were nearly average but the 2 seeds were weaker.

All I know is that ... more »

@gjd . . . didn't really think about that, add Coach K into basically a home game. That does make things a little more interesting in the arguement

The pythag numbers are ugly

Duke .8971 17th
Missouri .9391 7th

Lehigh .7154 58th
Norfolk .3787 67th

Missouri's is worse

Duke and coach K (though recent track record is not stellar)
vs. Frank Haith?
Duke in Greensboro, I beleive is undefeated in NCAA tourney games??
Pythag numbers do favor Missouri's as the more shocking loss

Yea, I remember looking before the tournament, Norfolk State is ranked in the 200's in the Pythag rankings, Lehigh was ranked in the 80's somewhere

My Missouri friend who isn't even a fan but think he knows more than me about college basketball is trying to tell me Norfolk St could've beaten anybody today. I'm like "yea, you mean the same Norfolk St team that lost by 12 at home to a non d1 school?"

I guess being a fan of a school who has no final four appearances ... more »

MSU getting a test from LIU.
Temple/ SO Fla may not break 40 total at half. (Reminds me of MSU vs Wisconsin 2000 FF) Being a Badger alum, that one was painful.

I used the "Men in Black" memory eraser/ creator to remove that one from my cranium. UW known for the patented 7- 8 minute scoring drought.

FYI on upsets and when/ where they happen, go to http:/ / www.allbrackets.com/
far left column has brackets with sites and whether it was Thursday or Friday for FIRST round. Been looking at it some and it seems to be clustered on either one day or the other.
