This is a bit of an eye chart, but here are the disqualifiers for the top 56 teams (seeds one to 14). I don't have time now to dig into an analysis...I'm about to use this to complete the Pulse Check model. But I do notice some interesting things.

1. Missouri looks like a weak two seed, and Kansas is the only team with no disqualifiers.
2. Georgetown is the strongest three, Florida State the weakest. (Of course, UConn was the weakest three last year).
3. ThereÂ’s that darned Badger team pulling strong numbers again. Given my Big Ten bias, am I letting familiarity breed contempt?
4. For their seeds, these teams have unusually low disqualifiers: Wichita State, Vanderbilt, UNLV, Florida, St. Louis, Purdue, Davidson and BYU.

HereÂ’s what each column designates. If a team gets a disqualifier, I highlight it in red.

• 11 - Did they go to last year’s dance? (An "N" gets a disqualifier)
• CY - How many tourney trips has the coach made? (Should be three or more)
• E8 - How many times has the coach been to the Elite Eight? (At least once)
• CA - What’s their conference affiliation? (Should be a Big Six conference)
• SOS - What’s their strength of schedule (Anything worse than 40 is bad)
• PR - What’s their possession- based Pythag ranking (Should be top 16)
• OE - Where do they rate for offensive efficiency? (Must be 25 or better)
• DE - Where do they rate for defensive efficiency? (Must be 25 or better)
• PPG - What’s their point scoring average (Should be 75 points per game or more)
• MAR - What’s their average scoring margin (Needs to be better than 10 points)
• GD% - What percentage of points do they get from guards? (Too reliant- - higher than 65%- - and they're at risk)
• R/ T - What's their combined rebounding/ turnover margin? (Less than five won't cut it.)
• EXP - Is their starting unit too young? (Two or fewer junior/ senior starters or an average class age less than 2.6- - where 1=freshman, 2=sophomore, etc.- - doesn't bode well.)
• MO – How’s their current momentum (any team with four losses in the last 10 or two in a row gets a disqualifier)
• PASE – Is their coach an historical over- or underachiever? (A negative PASE gets a scarlet box)
DQ – A tally of all the disqualifiers for each team.
