Pete -
If you want to use bracketmaster to find teams that gave up no more than, say, 65 ppg, would "Any" thru "65" be correct?
Or would it be "65" thru "Any"?

My guess is it would be the reverse of using "65" thru "Any" to find teams that *scored* at least 65 ppg.

Nicely done Spiggz. I'm about to embark on the same study. I've got a few more stats in the full database- - but I don't think you can do too much better than this. You've basically given yourself a 1 in 3 chance of picking the champ with 80% accuracy.

Here's my best guess for the 20- of- 25 challenge. This results in 76 teams, while retaining 20 champions:

Seed: 1 thru 3
# Straight Bids: 2 thru 19
# Coach's Bids: Any thru 22
Team PPG: 76.8 thru 94.7
Opponent PPG: 59.5 thru 78.8
Victory Margin: 11.7 thru 22.6
# Jr/Sr Starters: ... more »

Advanced tourney research with the Bracketmaster:

Last week, I gave a quick, basic tutorial on how to use the Bracketmaster. I explained how to answer easy questions like “How has Tom Izzo done in the tourney when his Spartans have been seeded lower than third?” (Answer: 12- 8, with an overachieving PASE of +.515.) And I also ... more »
